Prior to Waymark, Mr. Kliewer was a partner in Trumark Homes and served as its president, chief investment officer and general counsel for 20 years. He was responsible for all aspects of the firm's operations including land acquisition, project entitlement process, community design, finance and business development. During his time at Trumark, Mr. Kliewer oversaw the acquisition and entitlement of over 5,000 urban infill lots, with an impressive zero fail rate on entitlement approval in some of the toughest jurisdictions in the country. An attorney by training, Mr. Kliewer began his career with Luce Forward Hamilton & Scripps LLP in San Diego, California. Mr. Kliewer graduated from UCLA and earned his Juris Doctor degree from Pepperdine University. Mr. Steele held senior leadership positions with D.R. Horton, the Hanover Company and Robson Homes. Mr. Steele earned his M.B.A from Saint Mary’s College and is a current member of the Urban Land Institute’s Residential Neighborhood Development Council and a former Building Industry Association Board of Directors.
